Prophetic Ministry
Prophetic Ministry, like many other ministries in the Church needs to be embraced. It is one of the many ways the Lord speaks and ministers to his people the body of Christ. Through the prophetic ministry we hear the heart of God and ultimately minister to Him as we ought. We are not called first to be ministers of God, but rather, Ministers to God. The prophetic ministry revolves around three essentials on earth: the prophetic individual, the ability to hear, understand and interpret what God is saying, and finally, the ability to “utter” or prophecy that which has been received. Prophets
The word “Prophet” comes from Hebrew ‘Nabi’ meaning “to bubble forth, as from a fountain,” (Easton’s Bible Dictionary). Though “Nabi” is the most common word used for prophets in Hebrew, two other words are as well utilized: “Ra ‘ah” and “Chozeh”, both meaning “Seers,” (I Sam. 9:9; II Sam. 24:11; I Chr. 29:29). “Kosem” is another word, but used for falls prophets; it is translated to English as “Diviner,” (Joshua 13:22).... click for more
Prophecy
Prophecy is not only limited to reading the scriptures and preaching from the read passage. Amazingly, the last couple of years the lord has continued to give more revelations to the importance and relevance of dreams in the Christian circles. Numerous books have been written on the subject and a great number is yet to be written.
