Salvation: what does it mean to be saved?

Jesus said He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one can come to the Father except through HIM (John 14:6). Either He was telling the truth, or He was not. If He was telling the truth, it is necessary to agree with HIM.

Faith in Christ, not our cultural background, is what is necessary for entering heaven. Our tribal diversities, religious background, and our location in the world do not determine heaven. No one can come to the Father, except through Jesus Christ.

The Bible tells us the multitude of believers who will be in heaven will be from every tribe, people, nation, and language (Revelation 7:9). Jesus did not die for a small segment of special individuals, but rather, he died for the sins of people from every tribe, nation, people and tongue (Revelation 5:9).

If Jesus is truly God as He said and He also rose from the dead as the Bible stated, then He has given us sufficient proof to believe in HIM. Those who will believe in Jesus receive a more abundant life, direction in life, peace with God, and eternal life.

Act 4:12 profoundly states that, "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Blood from goats, monkeys, cows or any other animal no longer has the power to wash away our sin. Nothing but the blood of the Lamb (Jesus Christ), which is shed for you and me has the power to cleanse us from any sin.

To believe in Jesus means to trust in him whole heartedly. It means, you acknowledge that He is what the Bible says He is: the son of God. At this point, you must allow Jesus to carry all your burdens, pains, and sin; repent and ask HIM (Jesus) to come into your life, read your Bible and find a good church in your community to have fellowship with other believers.
Prayer for Salvation

“Lord Jesus, I believe you are the son of God who came and died for my sins. You rose again so that I may have life. I repent of all my sins. Forgive me Lord. Come live in me, be my Lord and God. From this day on, I declare, I am a child of God in Jesus name. “Amen!”

If you just prayed the above prayer sincerely and whole-heartedly, you are now born again into a new life- a spirit-filled life with Christ! II Cor. 5:17 says, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" We will be glad to hear from you and help you mature in this new found relationship in Jesus.
